Anna Meneghello

Anna brings a blend of professional expertise and community experience to the Committee. As a parent of three, she is actively involved in Bowthorpe, you will see her face regularly supporting local baby and toddler groups and school events. As a Midwife with the Infant Feeding Tea at NNUH, she works closely with families, volunteers and Norfolk County Council to help develop services and support funding decisions. Passionate about improving health and wellbeing Anna is committed to ensuring investment delivers lasting benefits for current and future generations. She is an approachable communicator who is dedicated to engaging communities, amplifying local voices and helping shape positive change.

Claire Rayfield

Claire brings strong local knowledge (including a knowledge of the history of the area), a commitment to improving the area and practical experience of building community involvement through initiatives such as litter picking, a successful campaign to aqcuire a playing field for a local primary school, and neighbourhood events. She is passionate about ensuring local residents, particularly underrepresented groups, are heard and involved in shaping projects from the outset. Her empathy, understanding of local challenges and ability to engage people through trusted networks would support inclusive and meaningful community engagement. Claire brings a focus on strengthening community connections and creating lasting benefits for local people.

Clive Lewis

Clive has served as Member of Parliament for Norwich South since 2015 and brings a strong commitment to community empowerment, democratic participation and long-term sustainable change. Throughout his parliamentary career, he has championed greater public involvement in decision-making and has held a number of senior roles, including within the Shadow Cabinet. Clive has led and supported campaigns on issues including climate action, public services, environmental protection and civil liberties. He is passionate about ensuring communities have a meaningful voice in shaping their future and is committed to supporting initiatives that deliver lasting benefits for local people and neighbourhoods.

Cllr Richard Lawes

Richard lives in Threescore, where he and his wife, Sue, run a small student accommodation business based in the area. He is a trustee of the Bowthorpe Ruin Trust and was elected to Norwich City Council for Bowthorpe ward in 2025. Richard is keen to work with all West Earlham and Bowthorpe residents to match up all our ideas and energy with Pride in Place funding. Together we can work to transform the area as a place to live, work and spend leisure time.

Cllr Niall Adams

Niall brings a strong commitment to community-led decision-making and ensuring local people have a genuine voice in shaping their area’s future. As a County Councillor, he has developed extensive experience in listening to residents, facilitating constructive discussions and bringing together people with different perspectives to find common ground. Niall is passionate about inclusive engagement and works to ensure that a wide range of voices are heard, including those who may not typically take part in local decision-making. He brings a collaborative, fiscally responsible approach, with experience in governance, budgets and long-term planning, and is committed to helping deliver sustainable benefits for local communities.

Denise Buttery

Denise brings a strong community-focused perspective to the Committee with experience as a former housing tenant representative and a passion for ensuring local voices shape decision-making. As a working parent, she understands the importance of connection, support and creating a strong sense of belonging within local communities. Denise is committed to reducing isolation, creating inclusive opportunities and ensuring people of all ages and backgrounds feel heard and represented. With strengths in listening, problem-solving and building consensus, she helps foster effective partnership working and meaningful engagement. Denise believes that small acts of involvement can make a big difference and is particularly keen to ensure that investment delivers value for money and lasting benefits for local residents.

Emily Viegas

Emily brings valuable governance experience and a strong commitment to inclusion, accessibility and community-led decision-making. Having been a local resident for the past 17 years, she is passionate about helping ensure local voices are reflected in decisions that affect the community. Through previous trustee and board roles, Emily has developed expertise in strategic planning, stakeholder engagement and inclusive decision-making. She is committed to removing barriers to participation and helping create opportunities for a wide range of people to get involved. Emily brings a thoughtful, collaborative approach, focused on listening to local communities and achieving meaningful, lasting benefits.

Grace Richardson

Grace brings extensive experience in community development, co-production and advocacy through her work with Future Projects. She is passionate about ensuring diverse voices are heard and has strong skills in community engagement, facilitating conversations and building participation. With a focus on sustainability and long-term impact, Grace is committed to helping address the root causes of local challenges. She also brings valuable community networks and experience in fostering collaboration, local ownership and positive change.

Joanna Critch

Jo is keen to play her part in making the local area an even better place to live. She believes people should have a genuine say in what happens in their own communities and that positive change starts with listening to the people who live there. Jo has extensive experience in the voluntary and community sector, including strategic leadership, developing services around community need, building strong partnerships and bringing different organisations and people together. She has experience of turning ideas into action, influencing change and making sure community voices are heard where decisions are made.

Joe Bunton

Joe brings valuable experience in property management and a strong connection to the West Earlham and Bowthorpe community. Since moving to Norwich in 2012, he has built extensive experience working with landlords, tenants and local communities, and founded Burrow Property Services in 2025. Through both his professional work and active involvement in a local church, Joe has developed a deep appreciation of the area and the people who live there. He is passionate about helping West Earlham and Bowthorpe thrive and brings strong skills in organisation, relationship-building and community engagement. Joe is committed to ensuring investment creates lasting opportunities and meaningful benefits for local residents.

Lewis Wardale

Lewis brings valuable expertise in tackling health inequalities through his work as a social enterprise director, medical student and community leader. He is passionate about addressing the root causes of poor health and poverty and has extensive experience of delivering local projects and building strong community partnerships. Lewis combines a collaborative, evidence-based approach with strong analytical skills and brings valuable connections across the NHS, UEA, local businesses and grassroots organisations. He is committed to supporting sustainable, long-term benefits for local people and communities.

Louise Tailford

Louise brings a strong connection to the local area, having lived in Bowthorpe for nearly 20 years. With a postdoctoral academic background, she offers strong research and analytical skills, alongside a personal understanding of some of the challenges and opportunities facing local residents. Louise has experience of co-production, both as a lived experience expert and as a staff coordinator, giving her valuable insight into effective collaboration and community-led approaches. She is passionate about strengthening community connections and ensuring investment delivers meaningful benefits for the diverse communities of Bowthorpe and West Earlham. Louise brings a thoughtful, inclusive approach and a strong commitment to creating positive, lasting change.

Rachael Pinheiro

Rachael brings a valuable combination of local insight and professional expertise, with strong connections to the Bowthorpe community. Through her work with the John Lewis Partnership and experience as an elected councillor within its democratic structures, she has developed strong skills in engagement, collaboration and stakeholder involvement. Rachael brings an evidence-based approach to problem-solving, with expertise in business transformation and developing sustainable, community-led solutions. She is passionate about building trust, encouraging participation and helping deliver meaningful, lasting change for local communities.

Rebecca White (Chair)

Rebecca chairs the Pride in Place Neighbourhood Committee. With more than 25 years' experience across education, local government and the voluntary sector, she brings extensive expertise in community development, governance and organisational leadership. Rebecca is known for her inclusive, values-led approach and her belief that people and communities are best placed to shape their own future. Having founded and led an award-winning social enterprise and now supporting third sector organisations through her consultancy, she has extensive experience in building sustainable, people-centred organisations. As Chair, Rebecca is committed to ensuring local people have a genuine voice in decision-making and helping create lasting opportunities for current and future generations

Solange Cross

Solange brings a strong combination of professional expertise and community commitment to the Committee. Having lived in Bowthorpe since 2009, she has a deep understanding of the local area and its communities. Following a career in customer service management, Solange trained in psychological therapies and has worked with both the NHS as a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner and the University of East Anglia as a Lecturer and Medical Education Tutor. Through volunteering and community involvement, she has supported local residents' mental health and wellbeing and contributed to conversations about wellbeing within the community. Solange is passionate about helping shape services and initiatives that promote the physical and psychological wellbeing of residents and create lasting benefits for Bowthorpe and West Earlham.

Willow Farrell

Willow Farrell is Chief Executive of FUSE Network, a social enterprise that supports social enterprises across Norwich and Norfolk to build a more inclusive local economy. With more than a decade of experience in Norwich’s community and voluntary sector, her work is rooted in Asset Based Community Development, co-production and community-led change. Willow is passionate about ensuring that the voices of those most affected by decisions are at the heart of programme design and delivery. She brings valuable experience in strengthening local organisations, supporting inclusive decision-making and building community wealth. Willow is committed to helping ensure Pride in Place investment strengthens local assets, organisations and communities, creating lasting benefits for future generations.

Zoe Fereday

Zoe has worked in education for the past twenty years and brings community insight through her leadership role within a local school. In this role, she collaborates closely with families, children and community partners. Zoe has strong skills in relationship building and is a good listener. She is also a creative problem-solver who works closely with others to successfully unite people to complete common shared goals. Through her work with local families and community organisations, Zoe helps to ensure local voices are heard and represented. Zoe is a positive thinker who is dedicated to driving long-term community development.
